Snowflake Challenge: Day 1

Okay, so. I think I'm going to try to do some of this Snowflake meme thing, because it's supposed to be about empowerment or feeling good or some such thing and I could use that lately...bear with me, I'm hoping this all makes sense but I just drank a glass of Pinot Grigio and I'm feeling a little wooooo~ right now. Ha.
So, Day 1, I'm supposed to rec things that I wrote and am proud of and think more people should read. Here we go. [Note: The titles are links, if it's not obvious. My current theme/colors on Dreamwidth makes it look a bit ambiguous from my end.]
1. Precipice (Firefly, Mal/Inara): I wrote this for the LJ comm
comment_fic, where on this particular day's theme I was supposed to write a fic based on a poem from the prompter. Consequently, the resulting fic ended up being more poetic than my usual stuff...it's short, but I feel like I packed a lot in there.
2. Never Fades (Tales of Vesperia, Yuri/Flynn): Not sure if it's because it's so short, or because my updates on main ff.n stories like Glass Fortress had slowed down or what, but this (along with the Rita/Estelle comment fic posted with it on my writing journal) only has a handful of comments. But I'm quite proud of what I did with this Zaude retrospective. (I have a thing about the emotional impact of Zaude on Flynn, I guess. There are at least 2 such fics in my favorites list on fanfiction.net. :P)
3. Like Chasing a Wolf (Twilight, Jacob/Edward): Ahahaha, yeah. I never in a million years thought that I would write Twilight fic. But this particular prompt ("Who needs Bella Swan after all?") struck me for some reason, lines jumped into my head, and I just had to write it. (...Yes, I know too much about Twilight for someone that thinks it's horribly written and ridiculous. Shush.) Anyway, I'm proud of this one partly *because* I think the source material sucks. I didn't just take the easy way out and mock it. I took the parts of the world/story that were compelling to me, and ran with it.
...I need to write more this year. I miss it.
